This survey will help guide Hickory Public Schools as the district makes plans for the upcoming school year. From the Governor's announcement, schools may operate on : Plan B -- which allows for in-person learning with all health guidelines followed, including social distancing and the wearing of masks. (This is a reduced capacity model. Hickory Public Schools is considering a hybrid model which will consist of in-person instruction and remote learning. Approximately 50% of all students will be in schools each day to meet the safety requirements.) Or Plan C -- which allows districts to operate entirely through remote learning for students. The options reflect the FALL SEMESTER ONLY. In order to plan and prepare for a safe opening to the school year for each of our students, we would like for you to determine your preference of receiving instruction for your children. Kindergarten Registration Southwest Primary Dual Language Immersion Application Southwest is excited to continue our Spanish/English Dual Language Immersion Program for the 2020-2021 school year. The program will be limited to two classes and is voluntary. Students will continue in the program as they transition from grade to grade. The goal of the program is for students to become bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish. If you are interested in enrolling your child in this program, please click the link below and fill out the application.
